Are you sure that your nutritional info is correct for NO SUGAR ADDED HICKORY SMOKED UNCURED BACON? If you multiply 11g x12 slices you get 132g which is not even close to the total of 340g listed on the package. Can you please explain the 30 calories per 11g slice?
Hi Rebecca. Great question! So, the 340g package weight is based on the raw, uncooked product. However, the nutritional facts panel is based on cooked product. I hope that helps. Have a great week!
I just bought a pack and noticed that the ingredients list includes cultured celery powder instead of CITRUS EXTRACTS, POMEGRANATE EXTRACT, ROSEMARY EXTRACT. Is this a recent permanent change? Thanks.
Hi Elle,
The Natures Rancher bacon has been switched to a new co-packer and when it switched the recipe also switched back to adding celery and not the citrus extracts. The Pederson’s No Sugar still has the citrus extract. Hope this helps answer your question. Have a good day.
I know your bacon says it is lactose free…is it casein free as well?
Hi Mindy,
Yes are bacon is casein free. The only products we have that contain casein are our feta cheese & spinach chicken sausage and our jalapeno and cheese rope sausage. Hope this helps. Have a great week!
Hello! Where can I find out more about what the animals were fed? I’m looking for grass-fed and finished meats.
Hi Rose,
We have our ground beef which is 100% grass fed and finished. We also have our ground lamb that is grass fed or clover fed and finished. I hope this helps answer your question. Have a great week and Happy Holidays.
Hello. Did the nutritional value change recently? The packages I’ve purchased before said 30 calories per slice, but this one says 50 per slice? It’s still the No Sugar Added bacon but has different nutritional values than what you have pictured here.
Hello,
Sorry for the delayed response to your question. I was waiting to get more information to give you from our co-packer. Yes the nutritional value has changed on the nature’s rancher no sugar bacon. We have a new co-packer that is now making this and the recipe and the nutritional has changed. Hope this helps answer your question. Have a good week.
Is there any information on what the pigs are fed?
Hi there,
Our pigs are fed a balanced diet of corn and soybean with added vitamins and minerals. I hope this helps. Have a good day!
Hello my name is Ryan Anderson and I’m a huge fan of your bacon. Best bacon on the market! I was wondering if you could send some coupons to a loyal customer? Thanks and keep up the good work.
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thank you for being a loyal customer. We love hearing back on our products! Here is a coupon code you can use on our website
What type of vinegar do you use?
Hi there,
The vinegar that is used in the NR sugar free bacon is organic white distilled vinegar. The vinegar we use does not contain any Genetically Modified Organisms and is free from all of the Big 8 Allergens regulated in the U.S. (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, soybeans), as well as many other potential allergens and sensitivity ingredients. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day!
Is the vinager in this bacon corn free?
Hi Jessica,
Our vinegar in our bacon is a buffered cane vinegar Cane vinegar is made from syrup from sugar cane. The cane is harvested, crushed to extract the juice, simmered down into a syrup, and the syrup fermented into vinegar. I hope this helps. Have a good day!
Do you have the nutrition information for the uncooked slice?
We love your bacon but have been unable to find it lately. Please let us know where we’re can find it. We trust your product and appreciate how you raise your pork. Happy to order straight from you
Hi Susan,
Whole Foods has decided to discontinue the Nature’s Rancher brand, that being said the bacon is now labeled under the Whole Foods 365. Same great bacon just different label. I hope this helps. If you want to try out Pederson’s brand you can go to pedersonsfarms.com and look at the product we have available as well and that can be shipped right to your home!
So the 365 brand is your bacon, just under the 365 packaging instead of Nature’s Rancher?
Hi Amanda,
Yes, the bacon is still the same just under the 365 brand. Whole Foods has discontinued the Nature’s Rancher brand and have gone to their own label. I hope this helps.
Thank you
