WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE G.A.P. STEP 4 CERTIFIED?

A G.A.P. certification means each farm is audited every 15 months to ensure the integrity of the raising processes of our livestock.

Cattle are raised on pasture for a minimum of 75% of their life.*

No feedlots are permitted

Pasture is maintained with a minimum of 50% vegetative coverage

Specific requirements for weening (6 mos. min.) and castration (3 mos. max.)

16 hour maximum transport time

*The cattle used in the production of the Nature’s Rancher ground beef are 100% pastured and 100% grass fed, exceeding the requirements to be certified by Global Animal Partnership to be Step 4.
